These products have been subjected to stringent bench and road tests to ensure that
they conform to the standards that are required to effectively address the risks

ABOUT SAIAS |
Insurance Companies are susceptible to a variety of risks, purely as a result of
the type of business they are in. It is therefore necessary for the insurer to guard
against external factors that can increase these risks.
Through the years various third party structures have been established to identify
and address these risks on behalf of the Insurance industry. Even though these organisations
contributed greatly to curbing losses and addressing areas of Risk, there remained
areas of weakness which was identified by the role players in these organisations.
Over the past months certain of the previous role players of these organisations
devised a strategy to fill the void left by the closure of SAIA Approved.
South African Independent Accreditation Services (Pty) Ltd. (SAIAS) was established
to harness the expertise available in these sectors and offer various risk solutions
to the Industry.
Various negotiations have been entered into and concluded to establish an infrastructure
and support base to ensure fluent service offering and solution provision to the
Insurance industry. The company is now well positioned to capitalise on its developments,
growth and experience to sustain well balanced partnerships with all relevant organisations.
The board is focussing the group’s operations on sectors which will ensure immediacy
in the most relevant sectors.
